#Mannquin Challenge (Kids Version)

Character Day

Today we had character day. Their was some pretty cool costumes today. I dressed up as katniss Everdeen/ Mockingjay. Here is a photo of my class. with Galivan/ Mr pentecost. 

The New Library

Today syndicate 4 went on a trip down to new library.

we got a tor around the library.

They have really improved the library with technology,

space and how each section has for each age.

One thing I loved was the design of the obstruction there's defiantly more space and the little extra things made it look amazing and it's more easy to collected books.

I was also impressed with the computer they have key boards and touch screens for elders and younger people they also have them at different highest for different people.

2016 TAPS Olympics

On Tuesday 21th TAPS did the olympics. The whole school was split into countries one from year 1 to year 6. We went through 7 events out of 14. I was in IRELAND!!! The best country in the world. We had a opening ceremony and a closing ceremony. at the end we did certificates for 1st, 2nd  and 3rd. Of course Ireland got 1st! There was also the spirit award for showing the taps values. I also got one. It was a great day. We say a big thank you to Mrs Bron for organising the day.

Tuesday's Writing 16th August 2016

On Tuesday The 16th Of August 

We wrote about stepping into the hot sun here is my piece of writing.

Slowly Stepping out to the furious blazing sun. 

My skin roasted like chicken on a steaming bbq.

Desperately trying to find shelter.

Ferocious ball grabs me with it's flaming streaks of heat.

Wet water droplets fall my boiling skin.

I dropped onto the rough ground. 

Do I ever find shelter...

Monday's Writing

Today Mrs Bron Got Room 20 to do a piece of descriptive writing. We wrote about Fruit Burst We first had to describe the way it looked the way our body moved how we felt. Then we did the smell and final the way it tasted

Here is my Book Report on underground adventure this will be updated every day. I will be doing a book report every week.

Argument Writing

             The School day should go to 5:00pm

I disagree firstly children would get tired I would be hard to learn. Secondly children have dinner at this time so they might get very hungry. Finally kids many have very important events to go to at this time.

Firstly, When kids have not got enough sleep you may get very cranky and not be able to concentrate on your school work. If kids do not get enough sleep it can do damage to your brain and giving your child a bad education. Rearch show you can very sick. When kids are sick they are missing very valuable learning time. Sleep is very important it can even increase your chances of getting cancer. Not only can missed sleep make you forgetful, There also a body growing research  around sleep and it’s vey impact on learning and memory.

Secondly,  Hungry hurts kids. Educators who regularly see children at school describe a host of problems inability to concentrate lack of energy 88% , Motivation 87%, Poor academic performance 84%, Tiredness 82%, Behaviour 65%, Students feeling sick 53%

Finally, exercise is one of the most important parts of keeping your body healthy. Exercise helps people lose weight and lower the risk of some diseases. Exercising to maintain a healthy weight decreases a person’s risk of developing certain diseases, including to types of diabetes and high blood pressure.

In conclusion I strongly think school should finish at 3:00 because kids will get tired secondly children will get hungry finally children may have very important events to go to.

Week 10 term 1 Writing

                  Fried Rice

White speckles sit in the shiny white bowl. Steam reaches for the ceiling. Tomato sauce finds it's way to the bottom. The revolting smell drifted up my nose. The pieces of rice felt like tiny bugs. Quickly my sore face turned bright green. Rapidly I could feel the chunky hot liquid crawl up my throat.

            Chocolate covered Strawberries

Slowly I savour the goopy brown strawberry. My taste buds were over with joy. It was like tasting happiness. Wide eyes stared at the chocolate prize. Silently the strawberry glazed at me. Quickly the red juice stained my soft silky skin.

Start text:

Rapidly my apprehensive heart beated . My jittery small hands push me up from the hard rough ground. I was very Hysterical. As I prance to the pool, the timers get ready. Icy wind rushes through me. The wind felt like pieces of ice cutting me.

My shaky feet stand on the sharp hard gravel. Mr C is in his silly red costume getting us ready. On your marks, get set, GO! I dash through the freezing water. My long arms cut through the wavy blue water. The water monster pushed me under and pulled me up.

I was drained of energy, I needed to be charged up again. Enthusiastically I reach the end and…

I just wanted to collapse I was so overworked. 3rd PLACE! The lady announced I was so jubilant. Joyfully, I frolliced off. My hairs stick up like a hedgehog's bristles.

On Wednesday 30th March The top block went up to the field to do something unusual.

Slash & Dash

On Thursday 17th Of March 2016 I competed in the Splash and Dash 2016. The Splash and Dash is when you do one lap of the field including the gully. Then we run into the pool area. Year 6's & year 5's did 5 lengths of the pool, year 3 & 4 did 4 lengths. After the swim we would do one more lap of the field not including the gully. Coming to a finish and zooming onto the wet slip n slide with glory.

Writing Week 7

Descending sheet droops over her sturdy partner.  The smell of fresh sheet perfume sneakily drifts up my petite nose.  Dangerously unaware of my head's extreme proximity of the table.  Light swiftly sifts through the thin white sheet.  Blinding my poignant eye's. Her shriveled material wrinkles, scrunches into a ball when hitting the old smelly floor. They work together to make a bulky hut. His strong shiny sparkly metal bars rub against her soft figure.  Her delicate surface wobbles and dances.  Her soft silky skin laid against his hard frozen chest.

Rescue To Get The Dingy

On Friday 18 th of March, the dinghy was strangely on top of the roof of the toilets ...WHAT! But to the rescue the Caretakers of Te Awamutu Primary went up on the roof and saved the day. Thanks to our caretakers.
