Slash & Dash

On Thursday 17th Of March 2016 I competed in the Splash and Dash 2016. The Splash and Dash is when you do one lap of the field including the gully. Then we run into the pool area. Year 6's & year 5's did 5 lengths of the pool, year 3 & 4 did 4 lengths. After the swim we would do one more lap of the field not including the gully. Coming to a finish and zooming onto the wet slip n slide with glory.

Art Week 7

On Friday 18th of March Room 20 did some art Here is my Art work.

Writing Week 7

Descending sheet droops over her sturdy partner.  The smell of fresh sheet perfume sneakily drifts up my petite nose.  Dangerously unaware of my head's extreme proximity of the table.  Light swiftly sifts through the thin white sheet.  Blinding my poignant eye's. Her shriveled material wrinkles, scrunches into a ball when hitting the old smelly floor. They work together to make a bulky hut. His strong shiny sparkly metal bars rub against her soft figure.  Her delicate surface wobbles and dances.  Her soft silky skin laid against his hard frozen chest.

Hangi

                                                                   Hangi
As I hongihongi (sniff), I smell burning wuru (wood) and flaming metal. The green grass disintegrates into black piles of ashes. The wind blows like never before. Swirling up and down the grey misty smoke drifts into outer space never to be seen again. Joyfully, I take a sniff of heihei (chicken) and purini (pudding) drifts up my nostrils. Jubilantly, I  pranced away thinking about the best food I have ever tasted.

Our Trip to the Space Centre

Dave has a great website Here where I can learn more about media (camera shots and lighting). We learnt about what makes a good video story, what are the different types of shots, Lighting tips and tricks.

Our Trip To The Courier And Space Centre.

Today we went on a class trip. My favourite part was when we Talked to Cathy Asplin. She is the Chief reporter of the courier newspaper.
A couple of things I learnt were,

  • The Courier print 14,000 a week,
  • back in the olden days you would have to pay for the paper to come to your house unlike now it is free,
  • They work 40-50 hours a week,
  • It has to be done on Monday at 5:00 straight if it is not done on time it does not get printed.
